Classroom communication tools
- JK – Grade 3 – Seesaw. Information will be sent home shortly on how to download Seesaw to your phone and connect with your child’s educators.

Camp Muskoka trip – For all grade 5’s and 6’s. Save the date!
- Thursday September 28 to Friday September 29. More info about this incredible trip will be coming home soon.
Safe Arrival – Very Important!
- If your student is going to be late or absent, it is very important to call our safe arrival at 705-324-3172 Before 9:00 AM. You can also leave a phone message.
- Students arriving after 8:45 PM will be marked late and will need to be signed in.
- If you need to sign out a student early, please come into the office to do so.
Note – It is highly disruptive to end of day routines and stops the natural flow of the lesson for all
when students are signed out, without earlier notification, before dismissal. Please contact the
office early in the day if your student has an appointment, and we’ll do our best to have that
student ready for pick-up at a designated time.
Return to school = return to routines
- It’s tough to learn and regulate emotions when you’re exhausted
- Return to a regular sleep schedule. Age 4-5 = 10-13 hours, Age 6-12 = 9-12 hours.
- Limit screen viewing of any kind at least one hour before bed.
- Start a bedtime routine that includes reading with your student for 20 minutes.
Yours in education,
Bill Thompson, QVPS principal
