Ampere Makerspace update
Our grade 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, and 7 classrooms visited the Ampere Makerspace at 12 Peel Street for the first of three sessions. Our grade 2/3 and 1/2 classes visit next Thursday, January 30th. The SK/1 and JK/SK classrooms will be visiting on February 6th. We are seeking volunteers to help supervise. Volunteers require a vulnerable sector check (valid from the last 12 months). Permission forms will come home the week before the visit.
Would you like to visit the Makerspace with your student on the weekend?
Drop-in to Ampere’s Lindsay Makerspace on Saturdays from 10am-2pm to dive into the world of STEAM. Each week they focus on a new topic, while exploring what the Makerspace has to offer. Open to learners ages 6-17, and their parents/guardians.
Are you interested in making a positive impact at QVPS?
We’re seeking volunteers to join our School Council and help with hot lunches. Please contact Ms. Mah in our office for more information.
Yours in Education,
Bill Thompson
