Dear parents/guardians,
I am writing to share an update with you about the school catchment boundary review underway that may impact the following Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) schools:
- Alexandra Public School
- Central Senior School
- Fenelon Township Public School
- King Albert Public School
- Leslie Frost Public School
- Mariposa Elementary School
- Parkview Public School
- Queen Victoria Public School
The schools will be largely impacted by the current and proposed housing developments in the City of Lindsay. In TLDSB schools, we aim to provide all students with the best possible educational experience, and the school boundary review will help us to ensure we are able to continue supporting high-quality educational programming, student achievement, and well-being.
Conducting a boundary review enables the Board to look at the school catchment area for a school or group of schools, examining student enrolment, spaces available in each school, program needs, new housing construction, and/or other factors.
You are invited to learn more about this review and provide feedback at a community consultation meeting taking place on Thursday, November 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI) cafeteria. Following this meeting, feedback provided will be taken into consideration and recommendations will be taken to the TLDSB Board of Trustees in January.
Information about the review can be found on the Boundary Review page on the Board’s website. Once the review is complete, you will receive the details of the outcomes in a communication from your child’s school. Changes will begin September 2024.
