Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce the first of three incredible visits to Ampere Makerspace at 12 Peel Street! Through this unique partnership, our students will engage in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) enrichment challenges that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Each visit will feature a new hands-on learning challenge,
Challenge Day 1: Robots, Treasures, and Mazes
During our first visit, students will dive into problem-solving and coding activities tailored to their grade levels:
- JK/SK and SK/Grade 1:
Students will explore maze maps with Bee Bots, create treasure hunt mazes using Dash Robots, and build their own mazes with Lego. - Grades 1–3:
Students will use Bee Bots, Ozobots, and Dash Robots to design and navigate increasingly complex mazes. - Grade 3/4:
Students will be introduced to Makecode Arcade to create their own video games. - Grades 4–7:
Students will use Twine, Ozobots, and Makecode Arcade to design an escape room experience, combining coding and storytelling.
This exciting experience will extend into the classroom, where students will build on the skills they develop at the Makerspace.

We are proud to be the only school that has partnered with Ampere Makerspace, bringing these enriching opportunities to all our students. Thanks to this partnership and our fundraising, all three visits are offered free of charge to families.
