Dear Kodiak Families,
As we approach March Break, I want to wish all our students and families a safe, restful, and restorative week.
The arrival of spring is an ideal time to refocus and finish our second term strong.
Regular attendance is essential for student success. If there is anything we can do to help your child arrive at
school consistently and on time, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at
bill.thompson@tldsb.on.ca.
We have several staffing transitions to share as we move into the final months of the school year:
- Grade 4/5 Class: We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Bavie, who concludes his time with our Grade
4/5 class today. Over the past two years, Mr. Bavie has made a wonderful impact through his genuine
connections with our junior students. On Monday, March 23rd, we are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Van De
Valk back from her maternity leave. She is incredibly excited to meet her grade 4/5 students! - Grade 1/2 Class: We bid a fond farewell to Mrs. Warren. We are so proud of her dedication; she has
gone above and beyond to ensure a seamless transition, providing detailed insights and lesson plans
for the coming weeks. We wish her the very best as she returns to retirement and prepares to represent
Canada at the World Lawn Bowling Championships in Norway! Mr. Bavie will be teaching this class
until Mrs. Morrison returns. He has already spent time with Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Reeds, and the students
to ensure a smooth start after the break. - Main Office: We say goodbye to Ms. Mah as she begins a new chapter in her role as an Office
Administrator at LCVI. We thank her for being such a welcoming presence in our front office. Joining us
as our new Office Administrator is Mrs. Andrea Medhurst. Mrs. Medhurst has already begun orienting
herself with our school processes and will officially join the team on Monday, March 23rd.
