The Opportunity for 3 Students to Win a Turkey for Thanksgiving for only 50 cents!!!
Starting Monday, October 3rd the students of Queen Victoria will have the opportunity to compete to win a frozen turkey to take home to enjoy over their Thanksgiving weekend.

During nutritional recess breaks students will be invited to come down to the gym, and by paying the low cost of 50 cents, they can enter Queen Victoria’s Annual Turkey Shoot. Like previous years there will once again be three grade categories; Kindergarten and Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3, and Grades 4, 5 and 6. The one student from each category, who scores the most baskets (out of 10 shots), will be awarded the prize of a frozen turkey to take home Thursday afternoon (October 6th).

Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 students will be able to enter in the gym during first nutrition break recess (10:25-10:45). Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6 students will be able to enter in the gym during second nutrition break recess (12:45-1:05). If there are any ties, a shoot off will happen on Thursday, October 6th. The 3 winners (one from each Grade Category) will be announced Thursday afternoon!

Students are able to enter as many times as they like, paying 50 cents for each entry (only their top score will count in the contest). Get outside now and PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE!!! Bring your “best shots” and 50 cents to the gym starting this week
